This mat seems to catch most, if not all, of the litter! I am really happy w it, and it is soft under the feet as well which is nice. I first bought the small one, especially because I had thought that this one was way too expensive, but it didn't do much as it didn't cover enough space and the cats bypassed most of it when exiting the litterbox. I exchanged it for this larger-sized one and it has REALLY made a difference. This mat, as it is supposed to do, seems to "trap" most of the litter within the fibres as the cats walk over it. I initially bought this brand as per the recommendation of the nice gent at Petsmart... I am glad I listened to him!Along w this, I HIGHLY recommend the Omega Paw self-cleaning litter box.... it is absolutely WONDERFUL!!
