Review of Pet Supply Imports - Kitty Tent

This is a great idea; it's cute, lightweight, reasonably well-made and my cats love it...they hopped in and settled down immediately. BUT it's hard to assemble; the tension is really really tight so it's hard to manage the "stakes," and once you DO get it set up there's much too much strain on the fabric. So now it's starting to rip at the seams. I learned the hard way (one of the stakes snapped) to bypass the top tab along the sides. This lessens the stress and makes it much easier to manage.
All in all I'm disappointed, but I'm going to keep using it until it falls apart...which unfortunately will probably happen fairly soon.

Review of NOZTONOZ Sof-Krate Indoor/Outdoor Pet Home

I highly recommend this crate for dogs who don't mind being crated, as it would be very easy to break free if the desire was there. My dog loves his crates and typically lies in them for naps when he isn't even required to. He really seems to enjoy this one, especially with the ability to open the top and side. It is lightweight and easy to travel with (handle included). I bought this to replace my previous collapsable crate which is all steel and too heavy to haul around. It has a nice appearance to it too. The only complaint I have with it is the "new smell" which I am hoping goes away soon. My dog doesn't seem to mind it, but I can't stand it. Overall, I'm extremely happy with it and highly recommend this crate.

Review of Navy Cat Tree House Condo Scratcher Furniture tower A7101

I am very glad I went with this product. Anything I have seen in the pet store that is comparible has been selling for nearly double of what I paid for this. I feel the design is superior as well, by using sisal rope on all posts. It seems like the sisal rope really does a better job at imitating tree bark and allows the cat to dig his claws into it and climb it like a real tree. And of course, it is the best scratching post material out there.
The drawback is the stability, though we are not too worried about our cat. He can shake the tree a little, but we doubt he can ever knock the unit over. Since we have it against the wall, the worst he can do it make a little racket.

Our cat isn't the best climber but spends a lot of time on this thing. He enjoys the challenge of getting to the top and retrieving his toys from the box, cannister, and top tier. He also rests on the middle tiers to watch the birds outside.

I was looking forward to giving this made-in-the-USA treat to the little person who shares her home with me.There are few ingredients in the formula, which, I believe, as with human food, make for a better product.They even smell good.I have heard great things about how kitties love this treat, and I looked it up on Amazon to find rave reviews.As she loves all things chicken, I tried this flavor for her.Unfortunately, she turned her nose up at it.

I thought, maybe it's just not what she's used to and she needs to acquire a taste, so I added one to her dry food.Less than one hour later, she threw up her entire breakfast.This is the first time ever, since she has owned me, that she has thrown up anything, and I don't think it's a coincidence.There are unusual ingredients in this formula, such as green tea and rosemary oil.I believe she was trying to tell me she had some sort of a sensitivity or allergy to something in the formula.I just wasn't listening.

I hate to give a bad review to something so many other kitties are crazy for, but just be aware that there is a (probably small) percentage of kitties out there with whom these ingredients just don't agree.

Review of 70" Jungle GYM Cat Furniture Tree Toy Bed Condo House Scratcher Post Pet House F71

This tree is stable, and easy to assemble.The Faux fur covering is quite soft and my cats enjoy it.

The small tunnel on the level 2nd from the top is much too small for a full sized cat to get into, so I just use it as a cat toy storage box, the cats can reach in and pull a toy out, and it seems to work well for that.The larger house on the third level provides plenty of room. Only the floor of the little house is covered in fur, the walls are bare, my cat's are hairless so I shoved a small blanket inside for them to burrow in and stay warm, but I doubt other cats would mind that much.

The flow of the tree is good, and the cats have no trouble climbing up it, although on the way down the 3rd level with the little house sticks a bit far over the 2nd level that my cats cannot comfortably step down onto that level, and I saw both of them fall off a couple times trying before they started just jumping straight to the floor from the 3rd level. this is not a problem for my cats, but if you have older less agile kitties, or any with medical conditions you might want to take that into consideration, or simply set a stool or something next to it to provide a slightly smoother transition downward.

My cats seem uninterested in the wave cat scratcher ramp thing, which surprises me.If *I* were a cat I would totally want to scratch that thing :P

I have only had this tree for about 3 weeks now, so I can't say much about the longevity of it, but it's holding up well so far and seems like it will last.

I bought the striped one, which was a bit brighter than I expected, but it serves the purpose of protecting the carpet. It is easy to trim to trim to your liking and looks natural. The only bad part was that the liter sticks to the mat and it makes it hard to clean.

It's pretty hard to find a good deal on a large size dog house that matches the decor in your yard. This one hit the spot. It is all natural wood that looks and feels great. It comes in pieces in a box and all you have to do is screw them together. The screws have pre-drilled holes so you can't make mistakes. I gave this a four stars instead of five because the wood could have been a little thicker, and it could have had some water proofing/shingles for the roof. The floor is raised off the ground to keep your pet dry, but they don't mention that he legs are adjustable to keep the house level.Each leg has a plastic covered screw that allows you to adjust its height.Overall this is a great dog house for a large breed dog like a Yellow Lab.

Comfort wise my cats prefer this one to the smaller cat perch that I purchased from Walmart. This one is more flimsy though and the Velcro has a tendency to release so kitty just might find itself on the floor sometime.

Update:
My cat's still prefer this perch to other, but the velcro started releasing all of the time so we had put a screw into the the widow sill to hold it in place.

This device pretty much solved the problem of providing subcutaneous hydation to my cat.He cannot jump away and it is easy to inject him with a needle.It is, although, a bit difficult to zip the zipper, without catching the cat's fur.I purchased the medium size, listed for a 5-10 lb. cat.As he is 8 lbs., I thought that was correct.It would have been easier to place him in the sack and zip it up if I had purchased the large size.

Review of CFA CAT NIP HOUSE MOUSE

My cat is extremely picky about his toys, but I finally hit upon a success with the House Mouse. It has been his favorite toy for the past three or four years. Obviously, I have had to replace it on occasion, but they usually last 6 months to a year depending on how many plastic milk container rings he has lying around.

The toy is pretty durable and safe when the stitching finally gets ripped apart. I guess my best evidence for it's popularity is that my cat cries when he can't find it or when I eventually have to throw it away. He also likes to lay it at my feet as a present. He doesn't do that with any other toy.

Review of CFA Active Cat House Mouse with Catnip

These little mice are so cute!!They are very well made and they are just the right size for a cat's mouth.Unfortunately my cats (which usually love all kinds of toy mice) do not seem to want to play with these yet.I am still holding out hope that they will.They look just like a smaller version of a toy mouse he loves so I don't know why he didn't take to these.If you are looking for a toy mouse for your cat, you might want to try one.They are some of the best looking and well made ones I've seen in a long time.I think they are recommended by the Cat Fanciers Association and they are as cute as a... mouse!!

Update:My cat must have read this because ever since I wrote it, he's been playing with his mouse!

Review of Cat Craft, #124016, Window Perch

I already owned one of these, possibly from another vendor that I bought some time ago at Petsmart. The cover is actually plush, fake fur like a stuffed animal. I don't know how well it will wash, but so far it seems nice. I prefer this hard board shelf to the hammock variety. I don't know what the cats would like better, but mine not only lounge in the sun, but watch squirrel activity intently. Hammock variety would seem not to support intense observation. I actually have 2 others, one with different supports underneath, and I sought out these type of supports because they have remained stable and kept the shelf level even with 20lbs of cat on top. Highly recommend.

Review of 28" Cat Tree Condo House Toy Pet Scratcher Post Furniture F13

Need I say more?Okay I will.It is too small for the average cat.My 8 month old kitten is already to big for it.I had to buy another one at pet supplies plus.He uses that one.However, it is soft, similar to fleece.So if you have a smaller cat, you would probably get good use out of it. Also there are 2 little balls that hang on each side of it that my kitten took of the first day.
